Some Movement, but Continued Weather-Related Shipping Delays 🌨️
Good news/bad news when it comes to shipping this week. The good news is that we've begun seeing movement with many delayed packages over the past week, including many that are being delivered this week. The bad news is, the the US Postal service in the Louisville area, where AEC's shipping warehouse is located, is stil playing catchup after being hindered by significant shipping delays due to not only a backlog of holiday items, but the area receiving its most significant snowfall of the past 25 years over the past few weeks.

Please know that the AEC team and the Louisville-area postal service are working hard to catch up from delays caused by this historic storm and get service back to normal as soon as possible. 

AEC is in communucation with the postal service expressing the need to get these packages to customers. Yesterday, the USPS posted a service alert on its website regarding the delays they're experinecing throughout the much of the country.

We know this is incredibly frustrating for you and your customers and apologize for the inconvience. If you have orders that are currently in limbo, continue checking every day to see if there is any movement and know that the USPS has assured AEC that they will get caught up, although you should note that in an effort to do so, some tracking may not be updated until the package arrives at its final destination. AEC Alert about Shipping to Mexico 🇲🇽

This only affects you if you ship to Mexico.

Attention CDF Retailers,

We’ve just learned that Mexico’s Customs is now requiring the consumer’s Tax ID (locally known as either “RFC” or ”CURP”) be clearly identified on paperwork accompanying small parcel shipments into the country.  They are also requiring the phone number and email address.
We want you to make aware of this requirement so you can identify what steps you need to take to start capturing that information on your orders shipping to consumers in Mexico which you will then need to transmit to AEC.

Based on the information we have from our carriers, the Mexican authorities are now effectively enforcing this requirement, so we are forced to stop shipping to Mexico until we can have this new requirement implemented.  From today’s date forward, should you send an order shipping to Mexico, our logic will cancel the order with the “BK” cancel code for blocked state or country, until you are able to send the consumer’s TAX ID in the order load.

We’ll be in touch over the next few days to discuss next steps in regards to your particular integration with AEC, and how it might be able to support this new requirement.

Just know that WITH Vista, we can automate the delivery for your store, and you still have the freedom to alter the schedule or exclude each post and still get the deep link to purchase. 

Vista Social allows you to manage your store's social media accounts more seamlessly while also allowing Broadtime to disseminate relevant content for your store's social media platforms. 

Feedback from those using Vista has been tremendous, and now, based on many of your requests for more album-specific content, we are ramping up our Vista social content publishing schedule. 

We now offer album-specific posts you can share on your store's social media accounts weekly. Initially, this content will be offered as stories to share on Instagram and Reels on Facebook. Based on your feedback, we may offer in-feed posts in the future, but we felt it was best to offer these posts as stories initially. Offering them as stories means they are only visible to your followers for 24 hours; thus, they will not permanently appear in your IG feed. 

As with our weekly preorder and new release posts, these stories will include calls to action to buy directly from your store's websites. Some stores have been downloading them from Vista Social and reuploading them with the direct link to purchase sticker on IG stores (nice!)

We also send two weekly round-up posts - featured preorders on Tuesday and new release posts on Friday. 

We hope you'll find these new offerings beneficial in keeping your social media content fresh while also selling more records!
