1. Listening Station Preview Chart
Broadtime has been working on tapping into our analytics to get a better reporting of the records that folks are previewing on our Listening Stations. While it's still not quite where we would like it to be as far as granularity, we can begin to get a picture of the activity to share and observe how our programs influence the listening popularity. Hopefully soon we can combine this with mobile.

2. Indie Summer Camp
I hope those that got to attend Summer Camp had as productive and fun time as we did. It was incredible to see so many labels friends and record store friends in one place. Our trade show booth was awesome and we were able to demonstrate our tools to many new faces. I'm sharing pictures here to show the fun. Everyone that had a booth really made the trade show incredible for everyone. Fun times in New Orleans.

3. Preorder Support
We know Preorder support is a hot topic for discussion.
As for Broadtime's strategy, we have created another category for our campaigns that are "preorder only" and we are adding additional weeks of support for releases on our regular campaigns. THIS MAKES OUR PROGRAMS LONGER!
When on our preorder radar, the release will go into our widely hosted "Upcoming Releases - Preorder" genre on all of the sites and station and apps. We will call attention to the releases with banner ads and with our news postings

4. Latest APP & BPM Station developments
We believe very strongly that Mobile Apps represent a new frontier of marketing the stores and connecting our record store brands to their customer base in exciting new ways. By delivering a listening station to every customer's pocket we can then reach them with friendly messages to increase engagement.
So we have been hard at work making new features or our BPM Mobile Store App and our BPM Stations. This includes a new wishlist function for the App where customers can add the records they are previewing and want to a WISHLIST. We are also working to get mobile commerce enabled for our apps. WE ARE GETTING VERY CLOSE TO LAUNCHING THIS. If you haven't yet, please download our newest customer's app, Down In The Valley. (http://music.downinthevalley.com/app)

5. BROADTIME ON THE ROAD AND TOUR SUPPORT As we look to creative ways, to drive more attention to artists and releases at retail, we contemplated the markets where we have website and kiosk customers and the map gives us some really good (and growing) coverage of the country. We are super excited to now have over 80 stations in service at stores around the country.
See Map below and interactively on our Tour Support page.
So, in addition to our tagging and display of videos, banners, and digital signage, we can create concert calendar events in the markets, and create additional signage and banners, and event tagging.
An individual Event for each show will be created and placed on the calendar of each Record Store within the touring market invoking an EVENT tag to be placed on each release of the artist. The tour dates will also be highlighted on The Home Page and Artist Page of each applicable site and Kiosk. (as well as New Release, and featured item pages)
Broadtime will create and provide an individual animated Kiosk screen saver sign and banners for each Record Store located within the touring market calling out the specific local date and venue. These will rotate when station is idle -
MAIN BULLET POINTS:
* It's like getting two ads in one, as there is extra promotion that also cover the concerts
* It's up to 4 Months of ad coverage for the tour
More Info: BROADTIME TOUR SUPPORT
Example:

Example Tear Sheet with Dates
We will add in Tour support on our proposals by default for a modest increase, to cover the cost of the dozen or so banners, signage, and event creation we will undertake. It's optional of course, for some titles it may make more sense to run as we do today.
However, the impact and improved exposure in the touring markets will pull in more and more fans to stores and shows.

6. NEW RELEASE ROUND UP - Courtesy of Young Ones Records, Kutztown, PA

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - American Dream - Sony American Dream is the long awaited fourth album from LCD Soundsystem. The first two singles released from the album are "call the police" and "american dream," that moved Pitchfork to rave the songs "couldn't sound timelier" and that "Murphy and company have never sounded so invigorated." The New York Times hailed "call the police" as "a quietly ambitious protest song… except that instead of searing, it motors," and Noisey embraced "american dream" like "a warm blanket." The band debuted both of these tracks on a May, 2017 appearance on Saturday Night Live. The next track and video that followed is "tonite."
OMD - The Punishment Of Luxury - White Noise Synth-pop pioneers OMD return with their dazzling 13th studio album, ''The Punishment Of Luxury,'' which sees them combine the wistful nostalgia and idealised romance of their previous work while stepping out of their comfort zone. The LP is out September 1st on White Noise. This is the follow up to the critically acclaimed ''English Electric'' (released in 2013). ''The Punishment Of Luxury'' is a daring collection of stylish synth pop and masterful songwriting, which will certainly rank alongside their very best. Written, recorded, produced and mixed by OMD--Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys--the album is the sound of a band in their prime. ''On this album we have managed to make beautiful things out of noises and repetitive patterns,'' explains Andy. ''The trouble is, we just can't help but write a catchy melody!'' Described by The Quietus as ''not just one of the best synth bands ever, they are one of the best bands ever,'' OMD's influence has become ubiquitous. The XX, the Killers and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy have cited Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark as an inspiration, and the likes of Future Islands and Chvrches show traces of OMD's DNA.

EDDIE BERMAN - Before The Bridge - Nettwerk Records Los Angeles singer/songwriter Eddie Berman releases his new album, Before The Bridge. The album is a rich, evocative and moving collection of tracks that draw, more than ever before, from Berman’s own life experiences – written and recorded between his getting married and the birth of his first child, and all the thoughts and decisions in between. Album track “Untamed,” is a slow-burning number led by Berman’s guitar and confident, quiet vocal delivery, and accented by piano notes and low, stirring strings.

THE SCRIPT - Freedom Child - Sony Freedom Child is the new album from The Script, and is the band's fifth full length album. Freedom Child sees the band presenting a collection of urgent, timely, future-facing anthems that speak of both real-life events and real-time sonic adventurism. The album was recorded between London and Los Angeles and for the first time, the band chose to work with an A List of co-writers and producers. Freedom Child is the follow up to the band's 2014 release, No Sound Without Silence. The new album is being launched with the new single and video, "Rain," an infectious cloudburst of rhythmically-taut, piano-tinged pop with the kind of irresistible chorus that has become a trademark of the tight-knit band.
JOAN OSBORNE - Songs Of Bob Dylan - Womanly Hips Records Songs Of Bob Dylan, Joan Osborne unleashes her sizable gifts as a vocalist and interpreter upon The Bard's celebrated canon. With performances honed by the time Osborne spent polishing them during 'Joan Osborne Sings The Songs Of Bob Dylan' two critically acclaimed two-week residencies she performed at New York City's Café Carlyle in March 2016 and 2017, the seven-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum-selling singer and songwriter, whom The New York Times has called 'a fiercely intelligent, no-nonsense singer,' winds her supple, soulful voice around Dylan's poetic, evocative lyrics, etching gleaming new facets in them along the way.
THE VERVE - Urban Hymns: 20th Anniversary Edition - Virgin Records US Urban Hymns is the 3rd studio album by English rock band The Verve, released in September, 1997. It earned unanimous critical praise upon its release, selling over 10 million WW, and featuring the singles 'Bitter Sweet Symphony', 'Lucky Man' and 'The Drugs Don't Work'. The 2CD Deluxe features the remastered album and the previously unreleased Live at Haigh Hall 5.24.98 concert. The album is also available on Single CD, Super Deluxe 5CD/DVD and Super Deluxe 6LP
UPCOMING RELEASES

JACK JOHNSON - All The Light Above It Too - Republic Jack Johnson returns with his 8th album 'All The Light Above It Too' releasing on 9/8. The album is being led by first single 'My Mind Is For Sale' which hit the airwaves in July, followed by a run of North American tour dates. Jack will also embark on a run of dates in the Southeast following album release. The press anticipation on the music is massive with early support from Rolling Stone, NPR, Coastal Living, Surfer, SiriusXM and forthcoming TV bookings around album release.

THOMAS RHETT - Life Changes - Valory Thomas Rhett scored his first hit in 2012, introducing a sound that mixed the southern swagger of Country music with Pop hooks, R&B grooves, soulful strut and the anything-goes attitude of Rock. During the years since, thanks to eight chart-topping singles, he is now a headliner of massive arenas. And, he's become a husband. A father, too. His third release, Life Changes will be released on September 8, 2017 with The Valory Music Co.

TORI AMOS - Native Invader - Decca Native Invader is the celebrated singer-songwriter Tori Amos' hotly-anticipated new album on Decca Records. Tori's confessional style of writing sees her continue to push boundaries with her music. Her messages of empowerment, tenderness, acerbic assertiveness and her utterly peerless sound speaks to audiences across the globe. In this new album, Tori delves even deeper into her personal experiences, and the standard is there to be seen.

ARCH ENEMY - Will To Power - Century Media Will To Power promises to be the ultimate statement of heavy metal supremacy and will mark the first album Arch Enemy have recorded with their current line-up -- ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ (Vocals), MICHAEL AMOTT (Guitars), JEFF LOOMIS (Guitars), SHARLEE D'ANGELO (Bass), and DANIEL ERLANDSSON (Drums). The album was co-produced by AMOTT and ERLANDSSON, while being mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir).

KIP MOORE - Slowheart - MCA Nashville Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore announces his upcoming third studio album Slowheart, available Sept. 8. Moore, who was inspired to name the release after his fiercely loyal fans who have adopted the name SLOWHEART themselves and who "defines himself by his honesty, which feeds directly into his music, which earned him a fan base of die-hards and helped make him a breakout star in Nashville,” (Washington Post) gave fans the opportunity to view and share the album cover first via social media. The cover image, taken in Costa Rica during Kip’s extended break earlier this year, speaks to the personal nature of the collection which Rolling Stone praises for its "gut-punch of a vintage album, the vocals out front and clear as crystal." "My former guitar player called me a ‘slowheart’ many years ago, claiming I don't just jump the gun and show all my cards or my emotions on what I truly feel," said Moore. "He always said 'you're a slowheart, man...you observe before you act.' I eventually named the band the slowhearts, and my fans are the slowhearts too. And so, its only fitting that the record I've been waiting to make, was named SLOWHEART."
For more information on these and other releases out this week, check out our New Releases charts by week section and don't forget that many of these titles are also available on vinyl.
