Dr. Music - Fairhope, Alabama

Nestled across the bay from Mobile, Fairhope, Alabama is perhaps best known in music circles as the home of Jimmy Buffett, but locals also know it as home to Dr. Music Records. 

Just over 25 years ago, Wade Wellborn had finished up college and was considering law school, when he decided on a slightly different career path - to move back home and open a record store. Music fans from Mobile to Gulf Shores are happy Wade made that decision. 

Since 1996, Wade and the team at Dr. Music have worked tirelessly to offer a quality selection of music, educate and help customers find great-sounding audio systems, share a passion for music and welcome every customer to the store. As with many shops across the country, the past few years have been challenging for the Dr. Music team but, thankfully, the business has continued to grow.

Dr. Music offers an array of new and used vinyl, CD's, turntables and audio gear from its shop in downtown Fairhope just steps from Mobile Bay.
